REVISION LAZRBLOC LASER PROTECTIVE LENS SUMMARY
The laser lenses above comprise the diverse LazrBloc family of laser protective products. Revision’s laser protective ballistic lenses are made with innovative laser dye technology. This suite of lenses covers a large swath of the visible spectrum, with several options providing additional protection against invisible and damaging near-infrared light energy. These lenses have been carefully formulated to maximize protection–optical density (OD) – and minimize impact on the field of vision–maintaining the highest possible visible light transmission (VLT) – while providing ballistic fragment and impact defense in hostile situations.
Revision tests LazrBloc laser lenses in its state-of-the-art research and development and optical laboratories and has certified many of the lenses at 3rd party testing facilities. The spectrum of LazrBloc offerings, and the ability to conduct in-house R&D, molding, and coating, enables Revision to meet specific and varied laser protective measures, including single, multi-band, or broadband protection. Optical Density (OD):
The OD determines the amount of laser light which is blocked (by reflection or absorption) by the eyewear lens. Optical Density is is a logarithmic measurement and measured at a specific wavelength. The higher the OD rating the higher the amount of laser light blocked. See chart for rating information.
